Legal Information

This page is the legal information notice for this website. It identifies the operator of the site, explains how that operator is registered in the United Kingdom, sets out the purpose and scope of the website, and summarises the rules that apply to visitors, learners and organisations that book training with us. It also explains how personal data is handled, how disputes are resolved and where questions should be directed. Last updated: 26 October 2026. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean bizpetyx, and "you" means any person who visits, browses, enquires through or books training from this website.

1. Identity of the Website Operator and Its Role

This website is owned and operated by bizpetyx. The operator acts in several distinct capacities, and it is useful to keep them separate. First, the operator is the publisher of this website and is responsible for the material that appears on it. Second, the operator is the provider of the training courses and related services described and offered here. Third, the operator is the data controller for personal data collected through the website, through enquiry forms and through course bookings, which means that it decides why and how that information is used. Fourth, where a course is delivered for another organisation under that organisation's instructions, the operator may act as a processor; in those circumstances the commissioning organisation remains the controller and its own privacy notice applies alongside this one.

References on this page to "the operator", "we" or "us" mean the legal entity identified in the next section, and not any individual member of staff, tutor, contractor or venue partner. Staff, tutors and freelance crew act on behalf of the operator, but they are not personally parties to any contract formed with you when you book a course or purchase a service.

2. Legal Form, Registration Details, Tax Identifiers and Responsible Representatives

bizpetyx is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales. It is registered with Companies House, the registrar of companies for England and Wales, and it is registered for value added tax with HM Revenue & Customs. The principal legal identifiers that are not contact details are set out below.

  • Legal form: private limited company, incorporated in England and Wales.
  • Company Registration Number: 02867466.
  • VAT Registration Number: GB 645 085 923.
  • Place of registration: England and Wales, United Kingdom.

The Company Registration Number and the VAT Registration Number are the two identifiers used most often when corresponding with accountants, corporate customers, procurement teams and tax authorities. Where an invoice is issued for a booking, the VAT treatment of the supply is stated on that invoice, and VAT is charged at the rate applicable on the date of supply.

Training in live production, control room operation, multi-camera switching and streaming workflow is an educational and commercial activity. It does not require a licence from Ofcom or from any other United Kingdom regulator, because the operator does not itself provide a broadcast or electronic communications service to the public. Any equipment used in training is operated in accordance with the relevant radio, electrical safety and workplace requirements. No other sector-specific licence, authorisation or professional accreditation is mandatory for a business of this type in the United Kingdom.

The persons responsible for the operator are its directors, whose identities are filed with Companies House and are available for public inspection. Directors' details are not repeated in full on this page, in line with data protection principles and with the practice permitted for company websites. Under the United Kingdom rules on trading disclosures, a company must display its registered name, its place of registration, its registered number and the address of its registered office on its websites and business correspondence, and this page does so.

3. Registered Office and Available Contact Details

The operator's registered office and the contact channels published on this website are as follows. These are the only channels for formal communications unless the operator notifies you otherwise in writing.

  • Registered office: Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG, United Kingdom.
  • Email: [email protected].
  • Telephone: 01494 671234.

A contact form is also available on the Contacts page of this website and is the preferred route for enquiries about courses, availability, bespoke training, invoicing and accessibility arrangements, because it creates a written record that can be routed to the correct team. Correspondence sent to the registered office is accepted for formal notices, but it may take longer to reach the person dealing with your matter; where something is urgent, please use the telephone number above.

Enquiries are normally handled during United Kingdom office hours, Monday to Friday. Personal visits to the registered office are not possible without a prior appointment. Training itself takes place at the venues notified to you at the time of booking, which may differ from the registered office.

4. Purpose, Scope and Intended Audience of This Website

This website exists to describe, promote and facilitate enrolment in professional training courses that specialise in live production environments. The subject matter covered by those courses includes control room operation, multi-camera switching, live broadcasting technique, real-time video operation, vision mixing, gallery and talkback workflow, broadcast standards and compliance, and the professional management of television and streaming productions.

The intended audience includes media professionals who wish to formalise or extend existing skills, aspiring broadcasters and production technicians, freelance operators, students of film, television and media production, corporate communications and internal broadcast teams, venues and event organisers, and public or private organisations that run their own live output. Some courses assume prior familiarity with production hardware and terminology; where that is the case, the prerequisite is stated clearly in the course description. Others are designed for newcomers.

Content is written in English and is aimed primarily at users in the United Kingdom. It may also be useful to international visitors. Nothing on this website is directed at children, and courses are not offered to persons who are too young to enter into a binding contract without the involvement of a parent or guardian.

The website is a commercial site. Its purpose is informative and contractual: it explains what is offered, enables enquiries and bookings, and provides the legal and policy information you need before committing to a purchase.

5. Access to the Website and Acceptable Use

Access to this website is permitted on a temporary basis. The operator may withdraw, suspend or change all or any part of the site without notice and will not be liable if for any reason the site is unavailable at any time or for any period. You are responsible for making your own arrangements to access the site and for ensuring that anyone who accesses it through your connection is aware of these rules.

5.1 Permitted use

You may view, download and print pages from the website for your own personal, non-commercial reference, and you may share links to the site with colleagues or clients. Short extracts may be quoted with clear attribution to bizpetyx. Any other use requires prior written permission.

5.2 Conduct that is not permitted

You must not misuse this website. In particular, you must not introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server on which it is stored or any connected database; attack the site by means of a denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attack; scrape, harvest or republish course content, pricing or media assets in bulk, whether manually or by automated means; use the contact form to send unsolicited marketing, chain messages or unlawful material; or use the site in any way that breaches applicable law, infringes the rights of others, or interferes with another person's use of the site.

Breach of this section may amount to a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 and will also be a breach of contract. The operator will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will cooperate with them by disclosing information about the person responsible, to the extent permitted by law.

5.3 Booking and account security

Where a booking facility, waiting list or account is offered, any password or access code you create must be treated as confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone else. The operator has the right to disable any account or booking reference at any time if, in its reasonable opinion, you have failed to comply with these provisions.

6. Ownership and Permitted Use of Website Content, Trade Marks and Other Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in this website and in the material published on it — including text, course descriptions, curricula, teaching materials, diagrams, photographs, video, audio, graphics, layout and source code — are owned by bizpetyx or licensed to it, and are protected by copyright, database rights, design rights and trade mark law in the United Kingdom and internationally. All such rights are reserved.

The name bizpetyx, its logo and any associated branding are trade marks of the operator or are used under licence. They may not be used without prior written consent, except to refer accurately to the operator or to link to this website.

Teaching materials, handouts, slide decks, exercise files and recordings supplied as part of a course are licensed to the individual learner for personal, non-commercial study and for use in that learner's own professional practice. They must not be copied, resold, sublicensed, published, uploaded to a public platform, used to deliver training to third parties or incorporated into another training product without written permission. Where a course is purchased on behalf of an organisation, the licence extends to the named attendees only. Any unauthorised use may result in termination of access and may give rise to a claim for damages or an account of profits.

If you believe that any material on this website infringes your intellectual property rights, or that material has been posted in error, please contact the operator using the details below and provide enough information to identify the material and the right relied on. Validly submitted notices will be investigated promptly.

7. Accuracy, Availability and Proportionate Limitations of Liability

The operator takes reasonable care to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date, but content is provided for general information and for course description purposes only. It is not technical, legal, regulatory or safety advice, and it should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional judgement on a specific production. Course content, equipment, tutors, timings and venues are kept under review and may change. Descriptions are accurate in substance at the time of publication; minor differences between a description and a delivered session may occur.

The website is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator excludes all conditions, warranties, representations and other terms that might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity. The operator does not warrant that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

Nothing in this notice limits or excludes the operator's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by sections 49 to 52 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where they apply, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to the paragraph above, the operator will not be liable for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, this website. Where liability is not excluded, the operator's total liability arising out of or in connection with use of the website (as distinct from a contract for training services) is limited to one hundred pounds. Liability in relation to a paid course is governed by the terms and conditions accepted at the time of booking.

8. External Links and Third-Party Content

This website may from time to time contain links to third-party websites, platforms, equipment manufacturer resources or booking systems. Those links are provided for convenience only. The operator does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, their security, their availability or their privacy practices. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site, its operator or its products.

Where third-party content, embedded media, maps, fonts or analytics tools appear on this website, they are used under the terms of the relevant provider. Those providers may set their own cookies or collect technical information when their content loads; the Cookie Policy explains how consent is managed. If you follow a link away from this website, you should read the terms and privacy notice of the destination site before providing personal information or making a purchase.

Where the website allows users to submit material — for example a message through the contact form — the views expressed are those of the author and not of the operator. The operator reserves the right to remove any contribution that is unlawful, misleading, offensive or in breach of these rules, and to pass on information to the relevant authorities where required.

9. Course Bookings, Pricing and Consumer Cancellation Rights

Bookings for training courses form a contract between you (or the organisation you book on behalf of) and bizpetyx. Before a booking is completed, the website or the booking confirmation sets out the essential information required by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, including the main characteristics of the course, the total price inclusive of VAT where applicable, the arrangements for payment, the date and location of delivery, and the duration of any cancellation right.

Where a course is booked at a distance — online or by telephone — consumer customers normally benefit from a fourteen-day cancellation period running from the day the contract is concluded. The right to cancel does not apply where a course has been fully performed with your express consent before that period expires, or where the contract is for a service relating to leisure activities on a specific date, which includes scheduled training sessions that take place on a fixed day. Where a cancellation right does apply, cancelling within the period entitles the consumer to a refund of sums paid, subject to the deductions permitted by law.

Course places are limited and are allocated on receipt of payment or on receipt of a confirmed purchase order from an organisation. If the operator has to cancel, reschedule or materially change a course, affected customers are offered a transfer to an alternative date, a credit note or a full refund of the fee paid for the affected course. Travel, accommodation and other consequential costs are not reimbursed.

Statutory rights are not affected. Nothing in the booking process, in this page or in the terms and conditions reduces the rights that consumers have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Further detail on billing, transfers, late cancellations, non-attendance and refunds is set out in the Payment and Refund Policy.

10. Data Protection, Cookies and Related Policies

The operator processes personal data in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. Personal data is collected only where there is a lawful basis for doing so: to answer enquiries, to administer bookings and deliver courses, to keep accounting records, to improve the website and services, and — where you have given consent — to send relevant updates. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

Individuals have the right to be informed, to access their data, to have inaccurate data rectified, to request erasure, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. Data is retained only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described, or for the retention periods required by tax and accounting law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Cookies and similar technologies are used to make the website work, to remember your consent choices and to understand how the site is used. Non-essential cookies are set only after you have given consent through the site-wide cookie banner, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the banner or through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly if strictly necessary cookies are blocked.

This Legal Information page should be read together with the following policies, each of which forms part of the framework that applies to your use of this website: the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is collected, used, shared and retained; the Cookie Policy, which describes the cookies and similar technologies in use and how consent is managed; the Terms and Conditions, which govern the contractual relationship for course bookings and website use; and the Payment and Refund Policy, which covers billing, transfers, cancellations and refunds. Where a specific policy and this page appear to conflict on a matter within that policy's subject area, the specific policy prevails.

11. Applicable Law, Competent Courts and Consumer Dispute Rights

This notice, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, its subject matter or its formation, are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph on consumer rights below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim. If you are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and the law of your part of the United Kingdom applies to any mandatory consumer protections that benefit you.

Nothing in this page affects the statutory rights of consumers. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident, and nothing in this notice removes or reduces those protections. If you are a business customer, you agree to bring claims only in the courts of England and Wales.

Before starting proceedings, we ask that you contact us so that the matter can be considered and, where possible, resolved. If a complaint cannot be resolved through our internal process, consumers may consider Alternative Dispute Resolution through a certified ADR provider. We are not obliged to participate in ADR and will state our position on request. In addition, if a course fails to meet the standards required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a repeat performance, a price reduction or a refund.

The operator may assign its rights and obligations, or subcontract elements of course delivery, without affecting your rights. If any provision of this notice is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

12. Contact Route, Changes to This Page and Last-Updated Statement

Questions about this Legal Information page, requests relating to intellectual property, notices of unlawful content and data protection enquiries should be sent through the contact form on the Contacts page of this website, or by using the contact details published in section 3 above. Please include enough detail for the matter to be identified and routed correctly, and quote any booking or invoice reference you hold.

The operator may update this page from time to time to reflect changes in the law, in business practice or in the way the website operates. The current version was last updated on 26 October 2026. Significant changes are highlighted on this page. Where changes are material, the revised version is published on this website and, where appropriate, notified to customers who hold an active booking. Continued use of the website after a change takes effect indicates acceptance of the revised content, to the extent that acceptance is possible in law. It is sensible to check this page before making a new booking.

Nothing in this page is intended to create rights for third parties, and no third party may enforce any of its provisions.
